Attach host access ID

An access control entry (ACE) associates a pool with a group, and grants the access control types.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Click in the title bar to open the Settings dialog, and click System Access Control > Host Access Control.
  3. To enable active management, enter your Access Control PIN: View access controls
  4. Click Attach Host ID.
    The Attach Host Access ID list is displayed.
  5. Type the Host Name.
  6. Type the Host Access ID.
    The host access ID must be 26 characters long and take the following format:

    xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx

    where x is an alphanumeric character.

  7. Select one or more systems to add to the host.
  8. Click OK.
